Alphonso’s Kidney Transplant

Donation protected

Here’s a little of his story:

Several years ago he was hospitalized and near death when he was diagnosed with several health issues, one being renal failure. He is also going blind from a disease called retinitis pigmentosa, and has lost his peripheral vision in both eyes. Because of these issues he was forced to take disability and stop working. He had to surrender his driver’s license and sell his car making it even more difficult for him to get to the specialists he so desperately needs.

Today we found out that his kidneys are now functioning at only 25%. He needs a transplant. While most of his care will be covered under insurance, he will need home care afterwards to recover as well as transportation to and from his appointments with his specialists, which are roughly 4 hours one way.

I lost my full time job in April due to the Pandemic, and take care of my mother. I would love to be able to provide the care he needs after surgery, however I would have to move my mother and myself closer to him to be able to make this happen. Last month I was driving to take him to an appointment and 2 hours into my trip I had to be towed back home as my transmission slipped in my truck. I honestly just can’t seem to make things happen on my own right now, so I am reaching out for help.

This man means the world to me, and is my best friend. I want to see him happy and healthy, and be able to be here for his children, and I hope we can raise enough money to get him the care he so desperately needs! Any donation is greatly appreciated! Thank you and God Bless !
