ALP Summer Wilderness Trip

Hey everyone, my name is Erin Timmerberg and I am the director at Adventure Learning Program. We are a peer group for teens in recovery that focuses on adventure based fitness activities to build confidence, self-esteem, and resiliency. This summer we are traveling to Colorado for a two week backpacking trip where we will hike, rock climb and raft in the mountains and backcountry. Trips are a huge part of ALP and the lifeblood of our program. These trips are historically life changing with dozens of alumni accounting them for being a turning point in their lives. I have seen firsthand how disconnecting in nature and getting out of your comfort zone can lead to big changes over time. Building community, meaningful connection, and overcoming challenges is what we do here.
