Hi! We're a Sydney-based film crew working on 'Almost Something'. Directed by Nishka Rao Sumanth, and screenplay by Yehansa Dahanayake and Maryam Nigroh, this film is an examination of the struggles facing young creatives in modern Australia and an exploration of the creative spirit that persists through it all. 
 
Overview 

Set in the heart of Sydney, 'Almost Something' follows three teen girls - an aspiring artist, filmmaker, and musician - each struggling to find meaning in their art. When their paths collide, an unlikely friendship forms, and together they attempt to create a film. As tension and self- doubt build, the trio must confront their insecurities, family pressures, and fear of failure. Through laughter and heartbreak, they rediscover what it means to create for themselves in this heartfelt coming-of-age story, a true testament to the creative experience. 
 
All funds will go towards locations fees, props + costuming, gear rental and catering. 
 
Currently, production is set to begin in Nov/Dec, but we will be posting periodic updates here about how things are progressing.
