Almeda Fire Relief Fund for Skyler Lesniak

You’d be hard-pressed to find many solo pictures of Skyler because he’s usually behind the lens capturing images of his two precious little girls rather than being in the picture himself. He was behind the lens of the sky view cameras at KOBI NBC5 when the fires broke out on September 8, 2020.
 
Realizing the flames were moving north from Ashland, he decided it might be wise to go home and grab a few important things just in case. He grabbed what we all think of first - those critical documents – a few stuffed animals, and painting before rushing back to work, because he felt he needed to get back to the station quickly to help inform everyone else. That’s the kind of person Skyler is. A helper. If you need a ride, he’ll give you one. If you need help with a project, he’s there with the tools. If you’re moving, he’s the first person to offer a hand. He’s helped me and many others countless times.
 
Now Skyler needs our help. His home burned in the fires that swept through Ashland, Phoenix, Talent, and South Medford. All that he has is what he ran home to get in the middle of his workday. While he’s secured a temporary place to stay, there will be so much to replace in the months ahead while he works to navigate the paperwork and relief fund options. My prayer is that this fund will help address he and his girl’s most immediate needs in the interim. I know many people are looking for ways to help those directly impacted. I hope you’ll consider helping my friend and former colleague who would never ask for help, but is more than deserving. Thank you.
