THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who has helped kick off this fundraising campaign to provide pro bono communications and community building resources and services to Black-led and Black-centered organizations and efforts. I’ve been busy this year collaborating o a number of “passion projects” with incredible people—providing marketing, branding, campaign, web site and other support to California based initiatives and groups. I’ve also created a central repository for education, activation, and connection community resources at www.allthingsblack.us. There, you can find a growing, shareable database tool of anti-racist resources, podcasts, zooms, articles, contacts, and lots of other resources for Folks who are Black, indigenous and other people of color... as well as folks who are, or would like to become, white allies. Right now, I’m in the midst of working in relationship with BLM Long Beach, Black Agency, and Maagic Collins/Fight the Funk, to establish a grassroots Black Wellness “B-Well” and mental health Collaborative that is creating a public education and awareness building campaign around Black mental health and healing. We’ve drafted a resource-packed web site and have some exciting virtual events and other education outreach planned through December, plus some goals for the new year. We currently need donations to purchase the domain name and hosting (estimated at $160), as well as to buy supplies/materials for the upcoming campaign projects.
