Enzo is fighting Leukemia

On Christmas Day 2017, Enzo woke up with what we thought was a cold.  He had a fever and wasn't feeling particularily well. The fever got stronger and continued for 4 more days.  We took him to Emergency to run some tests and the doctors told us that he needed to stay in the hospital because they thought he might have pneumonia. 

The next morning the doctors did a bone marrow test.  We have to wait for the teat results. There was no  celebration for the New Year and Enzo's birthday.  Two days after his birthday on January 3rd, 2018; Enzo was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.   

The doctors recommended chemotherapy right away which began on January 5th.  His condition is quite severe and as such the hospital had to isolate him in order to avoid illness and infection because his immune system is very weak.

He must undergo chemotherapy for the entire month of January and then take 2 weeks rest only to start the second round of chemotherapy.  The doctors believe Enzo will need at least 4 sessions of chemotherapy but if we don't see positive results he will then have to have a bone marrow transplant.  The whole ordeal is a very long and complex procedure. 

Those of us who know Enzo, know what a compassionate and amazing person he is. His genuine smile and charisma as well as his hard work and talent have been on display  onstage all over North America and throughout Asia. 

We are utterly devastated and to watch him go through this breaks our heart even more.  His family - Fabiano, and I as well as his extended family; knows that he is one of the most big hearted people on the planet.

Il giorno di Natale del 2017, Enzo si è svegliato con quello che pensavamo fosse un raffreddore. Aveva la febbre e non si sentiva particolarmente bene. La febbre divenne più forte e continuò per altri 4 giorni. Lo portammo a Emergency per eseguire alcuni test e i medici ci dissero che doveva rimanere in ospedale perché pensavano che potesse avere la polmonite.

Il mattino dopo i medici hanno eseguito un test al midollo osseo. Cosi abbiamo dovuto aspettare l’esito delle analisi. Nessun festeggiamento per il nuovo anno e il compleanno di Enzo. Due giorni dopo il suo compleanno, il 3 gennaio 2018; Enzo è stato diagnosticato con leucemia mieloide acuta.

I dottori hanno raccomandato subito la chemioterapia, iniziata il 5 gennaio. Le sue condizioni sono piuttosto gravi e in quanto tale l'ospedale ha dovuto isolarlo per evitare malattie e infezioni perché il suo sistema immunitario è molto debole.

Deve sottoporsi a chemioterapia per tutto il mese di gennaio, poi prendere 2 settimane di riposo e iniziare il secondo ciclo di chemioterapia. I medici ritengono che Enzo necessiterà almeno 4 sedute di chemioterapia, ma se non vedremo risultati positivi dovrà sottoporsi a un trapianto di midollo osseo. L'intera prova è una procedura molto lunga e complessa.

Quelli che conoscono Enzo sanno che è una persona compassionevole e straordinaria. Il suo sorriso genuino e il suo carisma, così come il suo duro lavoro e il suo talento sono stati esposti sul palco in tutto il Nord America e in tutta l'Asia.

Siamo completamente devastati e vederlo in quests condizioni ci spezza ancora di più il cuore. La sua famiglia - Fabiano e io come tutti I sui amicI; sa che Enzo è una persona dal cuore grande.

在2017的聖誕節這天,Enzo開始發燒,一開始以為是一般的感冒,但經過四天一般感冒及流感治療後,仍高燒不退,伴隨著異常疲倦和牙齦出血.於是我們帶他到急診做更多的檢查.醫院初步認為是肺炎需要住院治療.

隔天早上,醫院說血液檢驗顯示有些問題,必須抽骨髓做更進一步的檢查,並且立即將他隔離至單人房避免感染.接下來剛好是周末及假期,我們在醫院度過新年和Enzo的生日,本該是開心和家人共處慶祝的假期,卻是與正在感冒的小孩分離,獨自地在醫院病房.

經過漫長的等待,在Enzo生日的兩天後,報告出來診斷為急性骨髓性白血病.這消息讓我們毫無招架之力.當人生像是被裝上倒數計時的時鐘,我們必須堅強的面對,只是當他問了醫生"我還能見到我的孩子長大嗎?",我再也堅強不住的淚流滿面.

報告顯示白血球和血小板數量極低,紅血球也不足,醫生建議我們立即做化療.ˊ這將會是三 ~ 四次的療程,之後是骨髓移植.每一次的化療療程時間約一個月,目前他已經住院11天治療感染的部分,四天前開始化療的前置作業,預計今天開始化療.
