Thinking about what I “wanted for my birthday” this year, there really wasn’t anything specific I felt I wanted or needed. In part because I already have so much to be grateful for, and also because I already have so much [stuff]. And a trip to New Zealand is not really an option this year….
So to celebrate my birthday, I’ve decided to make it an opportunity to give rather than to receive. I have set up a Go Fund Me account to raise money for local charities and non-profits. Each year I hope to donate to a different organization to share the love (Animals, Community Support, Healthcare, etc).
This year I have decided to donate my “Birthday Funds” to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, an organization that has been part of my and my family’s life for a long time, and is very close to my heart.
