Allison Helmes Breast Cancer and Adoption Costs

My name is Brooke and I am trying to raise money to help my incredible friend and coworker, Allison Helmes.  Allison is a fellow oncology nurse who deserves all the support in the world.  She is kindhearted and loving, taking excellent care of her cancer patients.  Unfortunately, right before Christmas she found out she has breast cancer that has spread to some bones.  She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment for her cancer, and while she is currently still able to work, I know that she may miss some work days due to side effects.  She and her husband also recently finalized the adoption of their precious daughter.  They couldn't be happier to officially be her parents, but adoption is not an inexpensive venture.  They have not asked for financial assistance with the adoption or her medical expenses, but I cannot imagine doing any less than everything in my power to help lighten the load Allison is carrying.  She gives herself day in and day out to her child and her oncology patients, and I think it's high time we find ways to give back to her.  If you are able to contribute any amount to help them with groceries, medical expenses, travel to treatment, and all the other expenses that come with living, please consider helping my precious friend.  She is such a giver, and I just want to help give back and make her world a sunnier place.
