Allison Family Emergency Fund

Eric Allison has been a friend of our family for 4 years. He is a highly-experienced and well-respected pilot and aviation instructor. Eric and his family lost everything when their home burned down in the Venture Thomas Fire at 3:30am last Tuesday. His parents and his in-laws, who also lived nearby, lost their homes as well.
After a 2-hour fight battling the blaze by himself with 3 hoses and a shovel, Eric escaped with his life as the flames engulfed his home. He suffered burns on his neck and arms and has a burnt retina. He is healing, and is expected to fully recover from his injuries. Thankfully, his wife and daughter were able to safely evacuate. Not easy for any family to pack and run from an approaching fire, but more challenging for the Allison's, as their daughter has special needs.
Despite all this, the Allison family remains upbeat as they try to sort through how they will live until they are able to rebuild their home. In times like these, you turn to your immediate family for help. In this situation, Eric's options are severely limited, as his in-laws and parents also lost their homes. Currently, all three familes are staying at his sister's house until they can figure out a longer term solution.
When I spoke to Eric, he refused to accept any help, financial or otherwise. He is simply too proud to ask. It is at these moments when you just have to do - because if you wait for a request, it will never come.
As we head into the holidays, we should all count our blessings. Please consider helping the Allison family through this difficult time. They plan to use these funds to secure temporary housing, purchase clothing and make sure there are some Christmas presents for their daughter and close family affected by the fire. Eric will have direct access to withdraw all donations directly from GoFundMe.
