Help Kids in Haiti-My Birthday Wish

My name is Allie and for my 12th Birthday I'm raising money to help children in Haiti. I am also collecting shoes for children in Haiti. My goal is to collect 500 pairs of shoes and to raise $500.  To show that I am committed to making a difference I have personally donated $170 of my own money (that I've been saving for 5 months).  Instead of presents or gifts for my birthday I'm asking my family and friends to make a donation of money and shoes. 

The shoes and money will be going to a friend and priest in Haiti that works with a lot of schools and churches.  When I was emailing back and forth with Pere Fred about ideas he gave me an option of a few things (shoes, food, clothes, school participation money, and benches).  I thought shoes would be the best thing to collect and am raising money so Pere Fred can have a weight lifted off his shoulders (and use the money to help the children he knows).

I will be collecting money and shoes through March 1 and hope you can help.  I believe from the bottom of my heart that if everyone comes together to make a difference we will make a difference and a lasting impact!
