Help Allie Kick Cancers Ass!

Shortly after Christmas , Allie was suddenly diagnosed with Leukemia. She immediately under went chemo and is told she has to stay in the hospital for the next month or so . Recently, she found out she needs a bone marrow transplant.  Although she has plenty of love and support from friends and family, I would love to raise enough money to help relieve the stress of her medical bills.

Allie left Jersey in September to start her future in Texas, something she’s always wanted to do . She started nursing school , met friends , and was finally getting comfortable in her new home . Right before the holidays, Allie came down with the flu , which she described as the worst flu she’s ever had. She did everything she could to feel better knowing she was flying home to see her friends and family. Once in Jersey, she went out to dinner, where she forced herself to have a good time . I knew being around her she didn’t feel well. I drove her home early that night, she ended up throwing up and her face began to swell.

On her flight back to Texas, she felt weak and light headed . She said it was “undescribable “ the feeling she felt on her flight home . She barely could stand and kept telling herself “just make it back .” Directly after the plane landed she called a cab straight to South Austin’s hospital where she found out her hemoglobin levels were at a 3 and she was not producing enough blood or oxygen. Immediately , they did a blood transfusion.  After the transfusion, she told me she started to feel better, we thought everything was going to be okay.......

Receiving a text from your best friend that she has been diagnosed with Leukemia is the most unreal, and earth shattering feeling ever . You would never think it would happen to someone so close to you .  The thought of her being alone when receiving this horrific news and so far away from her friends and family, is beyond heart breaking. I couldn't even imagine going through this alone.  Her positivity and optimisim shows what an amazing and strong woman she is. Allie is currently a little over a week in with Chemo and despite some bad days, is still in great spirits!

Moving to Texas alone , paying for college, rent, and schools supplies , Allie can not afford health insurance. In addition, since she lives alone in Texas, her family has been flying back and forth as much as possible, to try and ensure someone is there at all times. Please send to everyone you know and help raise money for Allie and the Carbone family. Any donation is appreciated!
