Allentown Lions Vision For Hope

Hope Fire Company is in need of new thermal imaging equipment to protect our community from the ravages of fire and other emergencies. The vision of the Allentown Lions Club  is to provide our firefighters with this vital life-saving capability. To do so, we have committed to match your donation dollar-for-dollar up to $3,500.  After all,  bringing vision to those that cannot see is the mission of all Lions.

Reliable, modern thermal imaging equipment is critical to Hope Fires ability to keep our community safe, and is indispensable in the following life-threatening rescue responses:

·      Rescuing victims in house fires

·      Locating heat signatures within walls

·      Determining location of burning wires in house appliances

·      Find victims that stray from accident scenes

·      Return lost children by their heat signature

The thermal imaging equipment our firefighters are currently relying on is over 15 years old, which is already past its useful life; they have become unreliable and have limited battery life.  Although Hope receives an operational budget from  Allentown and Upper Freehold, it is not nearly adequate to maintain all of the emergency equipment up to acceptable standards. They truly need our tax deductible donations.
