Allen's Ukrainian hospital costs

We are sitting in an apartment in rural Ukraine waiting for morning when we can get back into the ICU to see our dad, Allen Hingston. Dad is suffering from sepsis after an infection spread through his abdomin. Dad is a pensioner and has no health insurance in Ukraine.
Where in Canada, we take for granted that we are covered by our system and can access services without worry. In Ukraine, we are responsible for every cost associated with his care. Not only the cost of the doctor and the room, but every bandage, syringe, and glove the doctors use must be purchased on a daily basis.
His wife, Tanya, is responsible for providing food , medicine, personal care, medical supplies, and cleaning supplies for Dad during his stay.
The estimated cost of care is $500 CAD per day. This is only the cost of Dad's care and does not include the cost to keep Tanya herself housed and fed. Dad has been in hospital for 7 days thus far and we are not sure how much longer he will be in hospital.
We have drained our financial opitons and have borrowed as much as we can from various resources. We have no choice but to turn to our family and friends to ask for help.
