Allena's Life Is A Banquet Tour

Everyone that knows Allena Gabosch immediately smiles in recognition. It is because of what an incredible person she is, from what she has done for our Communities to all of the wonderful time and resources she has invested in education and people all over the world. Now is our chance as her community, her friends and her family, to give back some of that love and support she has been providing to all of us for decades.
A little up to date information: Allena was in Poland in the beginning of the year when she found out she has mesothelioma. It was quite a roller coaster of getting her back to Seattle (she had to die and come back from the dead a day later), but thanks to the help, love and support from everyone through a previous GoFundMe, we were able to bring Allena home.
The current situation: Mesothelioma is a rare and aggressive cancer with the only known cause being asbestos. The doctors gave her six months to a year to live, so she should actually be dead by now (again). The love and support from everyone and the help of the GoFundMe helped her overcome those odds and break that barrier. She is thriving well and living her life as a banquet!
However, the reality is that due to this cancer, what this GoFundMe is for is a quality of life. That does not mean her life sucks. It means that on a monthly Social Security check of just $1219 a month, there is not really much quality of life or self care that can be given. Allena credits a lot of her healing and resiliency to holistic care. Holistic care is not covered in Medicaid. Some medical costs in treatment for the cancer are also not covered. There are folks very close and dear to her that have been aiding her, housing her and providing for her, all at no cost. She wishes to contribute in whatever thoughtful and loving way she can.
