<div>Years ago, Allen Edwards stood with his team to create a wall against anyone moving towards the goal line at Paladin Stadium. Today, we need to make one last stand to take care of Allen.

<div>Many of you know the legend of Allen Edwards--All-American, Hall of Fame player and long-time assistant coach for the Furman Paladins.

<div>What some may not know is that Allen suffered a debilitating stroke in 2013. He is now in an assisted living facility and will need care for the remainder of his life. While he does receive disability assistance, it is FAR short of what he requires for daily care, not to mention long-term medical needs.

<div>The Furman Football Players' Association (FFPA) has stepped up in a powerful way to support Allen. Once again, we are in need of funds to maintain Allen's care. We currently have about <strong>less than six months of funding</strong> before we are out of options.

<div>We are currently in the process of applying for Medicaid benefits for Allen, as his condition has declined. However, he is 4-6 months away from receiving such benefits.
</div>

This would allow us to pay his bills until Medicaid is complete.
