Allan's demyelinating spinal cord

Over the last few years I've been having more and more trouble walking. It started out with a limp when I was physically tired and progressed to the point where now,  I can barely walk with a cane. I'm applying for medicare for the third time! I've gotten on Palmetto Health, which is a tri county ( Richland, Lexington and Sumter counties)resource for the poor and uninsured. I got an MRI  for only  $436 ( abverage cost is usually over $1500) thanks to Palmetto Health. Now I've seen an Orthopedic Spine specialist who after 3 more MRI's!! decided there was little wrong with my spine ORTHOPEDICALLY but that I am suffering from a demyelinating diseas. To paraphrase the orthopidic specialist... he could fix herniated discs and degenerating vertabra but this is more serious. maybe NO cure, only palliative measures. For sure it means a LOT of testing...
