My name is Alla Abdi and I am here to tell you my story. On May 14, 2014 I was part of a fire explosion. I was in flaming fire from head to toe thinking those were the last moments of my life as i was trying to save myself. Not one person tried to help me. The clothes I had on were secured with a belt and buttons and I could not rip them off. I burned 33% of my body including my neck, chest, hands, stomach, thighs, legs and foot. I was left to die by the man who burned me. Someone ran to the neighbours house to call the police. I was left there unable to breathe with black skin hanging all over my body in bubble form because the clothes had burned to my skin. I was naked and in pain. I thought I was going to die. I made it to the hospital and immediately got skin graft surgery which took 11 hours. Skin from all my back side was taken and used for the front of my body. My hair had all burned and I had to shave it once I got home from the hospital. I had to re-learn how to walk, eat, use my hands and even stand straight. I had become skin and bones. My insides have been affected and it has caused unbelievable itching which I can not itch because I can not feel. The itching is never ending. I also had skin expansion surgery done to my chest recently where balloons were inserted inside my chest and injected every week until there was enough skin to surgically attempt to fix my chest. Now after 2 years, unable to work and unable to go back to the life I once had, I have waited and waited for doctors to let me know if they could fix my stomach, my inside intentines, thighs, legs and hands. they have been unable to find a way to help me. I have done a lot of research and the only place they could help me is overseas. Unfortunetly because I have been unable to work for 2 years, I do not have the funds for these surgeries. My skin is in pain and I need your help.
