A year and a half ago, Michael's biological father decided to try to get sole custody of him on the grounds that his mom is psychologically abusing him by allowing him to live as a boy. You see, Michael was born with female parts, but he has been asking his family and friends to call him Michael since he was three years old. He also asked for a short haircut, which he loves! Right now, his mom is trying to get joint custody, but things are not going so well. She has been trying to get a lawyer to help her out, but lawyers are very expensive and she can't afford one. When she goes to court, the opposing lawyer steamrolls right over the top of her and she cannot get a word in edgewise. No one will let her speak. She could lose custody of Michael. The biological father does not support his gender identity. Michael has stated that he misses his mother, brother, and sisters very much, and would like to live with them again. Can anyone help by contributing to this fund for a lawyer so that she can have a voice in court to get Michael back?
