All American Baseball Player

Hello, My name is Jalen Denetclaw I am 14 years old. I am a Full blooded Native American of the Navajo tribe from Gallup, N.M. Representing the Navajo Nation and the state of New Mexico. I will be a freshman attending Gallup High School this upcoming school year. 

     I have played baseball since I was a little kid starting off with Tee Ball. I have played every year since, in the Summer leagues here in Gallup, N.M. and travel baseball within the four corners. I have almost ten years of baseball experience behind me and many more years ahead of me. Baseball to me me means hard work, dedication, and pure heart. 

     Several weeks ago, I was granted the opportunity to try out and compete against other fourteen year olds through out the state of New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. It was only days later that we found my name posted along with three others that made the USSSA Midwest Region All American Baseball team. The feeling of finding my name up, a small town Gallup kid up to compete against the nations best athletes all of the same age, unreal. 

     I am excited and looking forward to this opportunity. I will be playing in Viera Florida on July  28- August 3. The baseball games will be live from USSSAlive.com.
