Aliyah Gathers

It is with the deepest sorrow that we write this to announce the passing of our little angel Aliyah Gathers.  Aliyah was 7 years old.  On Wednesday March 21, 2019 while resting, our little angel Aliyah experienced trouble breathing due to her life long battle with asthma which resulted in her going into cardiac arrest.  Aliyah was rushed to the emergency room at Maimonides Medical Center where the excellent staff  worked tirelessly on our little angel.  Unfortunately, our little angel also suffered extensive brain trauma, we were left with the hardest decision that we as parents ever had to make.  She was removed from life support on Friday March 22, 2019.

Aliyah, attended P.S. 178 in Brooklyn, NY where her friends and the faculty loved her greatly.  She loved music and was very artistic.

Aliyah's family consists of her mother Nicole who is very active at her school (previous PTA Secretary and School Leadership Team member) her father Omar (who is legally blind) and her three sisters Destinee (age 5) Imani (age 10) and Olivia (age 13). We are desperately soliciting funds to assist with the medical and funeral expenses. Any monetary donation of any size will be greatly appreciated.
