My Volunteer Trip to Africa
Donation protected
This summer I will be embarking on an adventure of a lifetime! Come July of this year I will be swapping Scotland for South Africa and Swaziland.
During my time on the Vesabroad volunteer program I will be spending my time in three invaluable ways;
1. Education - I will be working in local primary and pre-schools teaching English and basic health/sanitation lessons.
2. Construction - Working with the local community we will be building houses, classrooms, bathroom blocks within the Khula village. We will also aid in setting up sustainable farming units enabling families to start a micro business and to secure an income for their family.
3. Conservation - Wildlife conservation efforts in local sanctuaries in the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park and Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park. This will include working with cheetahs and crocodiles to help breed and release them into the wild as well as general care, upkeep and construction of enclosures.
Volunteering is an amazing way to give back to the world and I cannot wait to make a difference no matter how great or small. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to travel across the world and devote my time to making a difference to others.
The funds raised here will go towards the cost of the trip - helping me get to Africa but most importantly the funds will be used for the building materials and tools etc needed for the work I will be involved in out there.
I have just short of a year to raise as much funds as I can to make the biggest difference to so many lives and I can’t wait to see where this adventure takes me!
Any donation big or small would mean the absolute world to me and has the potential to touch so many lives.
