Alisa Casper Smith Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
My Brother-in-law, David Smith, is asking for help for unexpected funeral expenses.

One year ago, David lost his job and has been looking for a new one ever since.

Five months ago, his wife Alisa caught pneumonia.  She left the hospital with a nasal feeding tube because liquids were entering her lungs instead of her stomach, a common progression of the Muscular Dystrophy she had, Myotonic.

A month ago, David and Alisa had to sell their home to avoid foreclosure.  They had to move their family to a hotel while trying to find an apartment.

David tried frantically to do it all:  find an apartment, continue his job search, and care for his two children and sick wife.

Two weeks ago, Alisa underwent surgery to put in a permanent feeding port.  Unexpectedly, something went wrong with her heart and lungs and she passed away after spending 12 days in the hospital.

Today, David has to face the fact that there are no funds to cover Alisa's funeral expenses.

My name is Charlene Smith. My brother-in-law, David, is living this nightmare right now. His wife, Alisa, passed away on Monday, June 26th, 2017. She leaves behind a grieving husband and two children, ages 13 and 16.

David is in need of help to pay for funeral expenses for his sweetheart and wife of 23 years.

Alisa was a loving mother to her children. She also adored her fur-babies. One of her last requests was to be with her pets at home. Although she never became stable enough to go home, the kind hospice workers helping Alisa understood the importance of family, whether they have two legs or four and arranged to have her cat, “Nightmare”, brought to the hospital. Miraculously, amid all the hospital equipment noises and bustle, she settled right down and cuddled up on the bed at Alisa's feet until she passed away.

We would ask you to consider making a donation great or small to help this family's stress. Any donations received will go directly toward funeral expenses and medical bills.  Together, we can work miracles!

Prayers, good thoughts or a Hail Mary are all appreciated, even if you feel you cannot make a cash donation. Please help us out by sharing our request on Facebook or other social media platforms.  May you be blessed Forever!
