Hello everyone,
My name is Tevy Duong and I would like to begin with thanking you all for sharing this difficult moment with my family and I. We greatly appreciate all of the support that has been given, and to the support that will continue to be our blessings during this time.
On Sunday, October 5th, 2014, approximately 2 am, my family and I lost a loving husband, father, son, and friend. Seth Soy, was found deceased at the age of 45 years from natural causes. Presumed fatal heart attack. His death was very sudden and at such a young age that it left myself and my our two sons, Sydney and Dara Soy in schock.
My husband is a wonderful man. He has made many sacrifices for our family, and made many changes to better our family. He has always taken care of our home; cook, clean, pick up and drop off our two sons to and from school, while juggling employment to put food on our table. He had a passion for music and sharing that talent with myself and our friends will always be a cherished memory. He was a type of man who helped others without asking questions. To many, my husband is a great role model, especially to our boys.
With no preparations and security, my sons and I are left with nothing financially to plan and prepare a proper ceremony. I have not been employed for a few years now due to health restrictions, and am scared that I will not be able to provide closure for my sons to say their last words to their father before we have to let him go.
The traditional ceremony requires a minimum of a week to grieve, view, and prepare burial at the requested location from both my mother and father-in-law, estimated cost is about $6,500. My family and I would like to reach out to all of our friends, family, and our community to help donate to achieve our goal of $6,500 by October 16th. Any contributions will go a long way for our family, and we hope and pray that we can send my husband off in peace, and provide the best closure possible for everyone.
