Alimenta La Solidaridad Petare

Alimenta la Solidaridad Petare is a non-profit organization, created in 2017 as a response to the hunger crisis in Venezuela,  who works with the Municipio Sucre County, these county has the largest popular sectors, being the biggest in size and most convulsed. 



As a social organization, we work with parents for the creation of dining rooms that provide their children with a daily meal, which is designed by a group of nutritionists in order to ensure the satisfaction of the minimum daily caloric value. While the organization is responsible of providing the medical team and food supplies, the community is responsible of making this plan possible. The families selected to join this program are committed to cook, help and clean these designated dinning spaces. Therefore, this project reflects teamwork and responsibility, which teaches the poor communities that the unity and common effort can help enormously their growth as a society. 



Beyond treating the nutritional factor in the community, we make sure the children go to school. The organization is in charge of covering all the needs and challenges the kids have that might prevent them to get the education they need. Some of this challenges and needs usually include transportation, clothing and school supplies.

 

Additionally to the dining rooms, Alimenta La Solidaridad Petare promotes values such as solidarity and coexistence as core values so we can develop and generate alliances with the organization and the community. We also organize educational and cultural activities and educate the mothers in the areas of self-empowerment, economics and entrepreneurship so they can undertake their own projects.
