Friends and Family!!
As some of you may know, I am a junior studying Community Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno. I am also a student Ambassador looking to help and premote the health of our communities.
Throughout my education I have been striving to do more and understand others. I am looking to apply my knowledge to do something greater before graduating next spring. I have been working hard to help people in my community and now it is time to help someone else. This summer there is a school trip to Rwanda, Africa to help women and children learn health skills and recover from the countries genocide. With women and children being at the most risk so I am asking for your help. I believe that teaching women and children healthy habits and how to use the resources effectively so they can have a fighting chance to live their best life and strive for more. I am seeking donations so that I would be able to help these people learn so much more. This trip is not covered by any financial aid or loans, therefore I am asking for my friends and family to help donate so I can travel and educate these families in person. The extra expense is not something I can afford right now, but I truly want to make a difference not only to my life but others. I appreciate all of you very much, and thank you for all the support !
Side note: If the funds are not met, illness before trip, safety status changes in Africa, family emergency, or anything that would keep me from attending the trip, all donations will be used for a similar summer class in the states, and some donations will also be donated to children and Africa!
