Alicia's disability lawyer fee

My sister Alicia has a generous heart and is always the first person to give  and love on those she meets but now she finds herself in a position where she is in need! In 2012, after a 13 year battle with a mystery illness, she was finally correctly diagnosed with Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. POTS for short. This is a condition where any change of position, like sitting to standing or laying down to sitting, will rapidly change her heart rate to such an extreme where she passes out. Beyond that, POTS messes with your body in many different ways. She was employed and working to the best of her ability while paying for disability out of her paycheck so that she wouldn't need to rely on the government if her condition worsened. She was fightins as hard as she could to not let this disability affect her life.

In 2014, after more research was done the doctors discovered that Alicia also had fibromylagia, a chronic pain condition that has led to many issues within her body. Alicia could no longer work and had to go on disability. The doctors felt that Alicia could never work again and even gave her a letter saying that. Alicia has always been hard working and prides herself on pullling her weight and trying to help others so this was very dificult news for her to take emotionally and physically. Imagine being told by a doctor that your life could never be normal.

For the past 2 years  Alicia has been fighting Metlife to collect disability benefits based on the contracts she has had with them. Metlife has decided that they no longer would like to acknowledge the agreement that they have with her and have been declining to pay her the money they owe her. Late 2016/early 2017 Alicia was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease(connective tissue disorder) where her organs and tissues literally just shut down.

If you have ever been around Alicia when she has had a POTS episode you know and understand how frightening it is. Alicia will pass out and literally not be able to move for 30 minutes to 2 hours.

The facts are that Alicia is not capable of working and has had to enter into a Class action law suit again Metlife to try to gain disabillity benefits. We are trying to raise funds to help her pay the lawyer fees. She doesn't have income to provide for the basics of life so these added fees have created a stressful environment that is only making her body worse and more prone to disease. While I am praying every day for healing for my sister I ask for your support in prayers and financial need so she can have what she deserves!
