Help us raise funds to equip 7 classrooms of 3rd through 5th graders with tablets for in-class learning for the 2014-15 school year!
Our goal is to level the playing field for our students who are competing with others who have ready access to these learning tools. Funds raised will help purchase tablets that will be connected to digital curricular content, providing a technology infrastructure that will revolutionize learning!

With a minimum donation of just $10 dollars, together we can all make sure each child has equal access to these devices. Of course, you have the option to give more!
Our school, Mater Academy of International Studies (MAIS), is a gem hidden in the heart of Allapattah. Its teachers have a passion for the students, working hard to prepare these young learners to become the leaders of tomorrow. The enthusiasm of the staff is evidenced by MAIS’s ability to go from a “D” to an “A” school within one academic school year.

As in most Title I Schools the students of MAIS come from underserved neighborhoods and, therefore, technology is not available in the home. With your help, we can change this. Our student body is reflective of the diversity of Miami; approximately 90% of the 730 students qualify for free or reduced lunch. MAIS provides classes for kindergarten through 9th grade and the average classroom size is 25.
