When Alexzander was little he had a kidney transplant, so his entire life he has been on many medications to make sure his body doesn't reject this kidney. A couple months ago, his doctors decided to try and change his medication to help with another issue, and unfortunately, the medicine had the opposite effect and caused him to enter Renal (Kidney) failure.
2 weeks ago, the physicians decided to shock his body with steroids for 5 days to try to get the swelling to subside and kickstart his kidney to start filtering toxins again. Long term, if things do not improve, this will mean dialysis and another kidney transplant.
Alex has spent many days over the last couple of weeks in the hospital and he and his family will be traveling weekly to Dallas for lab work and other interventions he may need. Alexzander's family lives off of one income so that he may be able to keep the medical insurance that covers his medical care completely. They cannot make over a particular amount or this coverage will be stripped. At this point, his extended family is footing the cost for their daily needs, their home bills, and travel expenses. It costs nearly $100 every trip to Dallas they take.
If you feel compelled, please help this young man and his family live a little more stress free so they can focus on getting him healthier!
As little as $5, or whatever you feel, can make a tremendous difference.
