Alex’s trip to DNA lab in NY

Alex has a wonderful opportunity to go on a trip to a DNA lab in NY with some classmates. They have been studying DNA in class this year and this will allow them to get some hands on experience in a real DNA lab. The trip comes with a hefty price tag compared to other school trips though. The price includes round trip airfare, hotel accommodations for the week, food, all  lab fees, ground transportation while in NY, activities after they are done at the lab, etc. The teachers, parents, and kids that went last year said it was well worth the cost. The school is not doing any fundraisers for the trip so it’s up to us to come up with the money. Alex has been cleaning up yard debris left from the hurricane, picking up dog poop, raking leaves, etc for others to help earn money to pay for the trip. He has more jobs set up and will continue doing work to earn more. If you are local and have some work he can help with, please let us know. I wasn’t planning on setting this up but after being asked if I had done so several times, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try and see how this goes.
