Alex’s Treatment

Hi everyone! My best friend, Alex, discovered in late December that she had thyroid cancer. To hear that word initiallly is  terrifying but with some light research I found that it it quite curable. This eased my mind. Alex of course did more than “light research”. Anyone that knows her knows she did extensive research. What the prognosis is, the treatment options, and the long term effects. While most of us just do the first option available, Alex looked deeper into it and found what she felt was the best option for her. She decided to see both a medical doctor and a holistic specialist- both of which she is still seeing. She had the option to get surgery and take out her thyroid, have radiation and take thyroid medicine for the rest of her life. She wanted to try a less traveled avenue. She has gone to an almost solely plant based alkaline diet and has been regularly attending Ozone therapy. The diet is great for overall health and acidic foods can help feel cancer so she has cut those foods out as well. She has quit drinking as well. The ozone therapy is essentially pumping high volumes of oxygen into her body and into her blood stream so that her blood cells bring more oxygen to her “infected” cells to restore them. She started this and postponed her surgery. This made many of her doctors and loved ones nervous but Alex was so sure that this was right for her- and I believed her. I supported her whole heartedly and trusted her judgement and what she thought was right for her body. She didn’t want to take an organ away from her body. She didn’t want to have radiation afterward, leaving her susceptible to 5 more cancers after. She didn’t  want to have to take a pill for the rest of her life, essentially made of chemicals. She wanted to look into what god and our earth have provided and utilize those things. Two days ago she went back to her doctor to get an ultrasound and discovered that her cancer has SHRUNK! Not immensely YET- but in 2 month, not only has it not grown- it has reduced in size!!  She also discovered that her thyroid levels are NORMAL! This has encouraged her to further postpone her surgery and continue with her natural remedies at this point. It is pretty expensive though. This $6,000 should pay for around six months of ozone therapy for her. I understand if this doesn’t align with your beliefs and don’t want to contribute- but if you would like/can, every bit helps. She doesn’t know I’m doing this and would probably kill me if she knew because she is such a hard working independent woman and doesn’t want people to feel bad for her. I don’t want people to feel bad either- but I do want help. She’s one of the best people I know and so deserving. Thank you in advance. Positive vibes only ❤️
