Alexis Zepeda is my best friend. Met him as a freshmen at, Amundsen high school in Chicago. We graduated on June 2009. We have been best friends for over 9 years. We consider ourselves brothers, as I never had a biological brother. Over the years our families have blended. The funds that have been raised are from the people that have known Alexis over the years and the lives he has touched. The money raised will be used for his funeral expenses and anything his family will need during these hard times. Especially, his parents Alexis father is on disability due to a work accident a few years ago. He suffers from early dementia and no longer works. His mother tries to make ends meet cleaning and being a nanny a few days out of the week. Alexis was the head of house hold for his parents and they relied on him solely. The money will be withdrawn to my account but I will make a personal check under his mothers name María Luz Zepeda Diaz.
