Alexis Mcleod Recovery

On the morning of September 5th, Alexis McLeod, a best friend, fellow student, co-worker, daughter and sister, was driving to school when she went off road, overcorrected herself and lost control of her car. Her vehicle flipped over an embankment, landing upside down in a pond around 9:30am. Water rose around the car quickly, and frantic onlookers were unable to pry open the doors against the water pressure. First Responders rescued her around 10am; after an estimated 10 minutes of being under water.

Alexis is a strong, very hard working, spunky and beautiful soul of 19. A dedicated student at Wake Tech studying Sonography, she is also an enthusiastic restaurant employee and a passionate, loving friend. Alexis challenges herself to always stay grounded, grow, learn, and move forward to the next goal she has for her self. She's a fighter who doesn't give up.

Tragically, she is now in the Surgery ICU, where she remains unstable, on life support and has yet to wake up. Early morning of September 6th, just one day later, she has suffered from a stroke and her brain has now deteriorated to very, very low activity. Her family and friends are desperate to save this beautiful, passionate young girl. Any help that you can provide would be deeply and most sincerely appreciated. No amount is too small. Alexis is stubborn and a fighter! We feel that with your fight, prayers, positive thoughts and good will, no challenge is too great.
