Alexis Feucht's Defenders Fight of Glioblastoma

Donation protected
Alexis, 17, was suffering from a constant headache that progressively worsened in less than a months time.  Between her parents, family and friends, home remedies were discussed, with no avail.    Leading to a text from Alexis to her Mom, Kelli that she wanted to see a doctor on that day, Monday October 12.  They started with an appointment at the clinic with severe headache and dizziness, dehydration and possible Migraines were a possibility and then  they did a CT at the local Hospital that lead to a transfer to  a Children's Hospital to get an MRI  that confirmed Alexis had an Intracranial Mass on the right side of her brain and she was admitted late that night.   Three days later after meeting with a team of Neuro surgeons and Oncologists along with Child Life Specialists and many others she had surgery to remove the tumor.  The surgeon was confident that she got all of the tumor and Alexis did great, so good she was discharged by Saturday afternoon and headed home.  Then we waited for the pathology results.  Those did not come back as we had hoped and prayed.  The tumor was malignant. Stage 4 Glioblastoma.
Alexis will be receiving Radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks along with chemotherapy 7 days a week on a 42 day cycle for one year.  There are also some clinical trials in place that have proven effective that may start before chemo.
Alexis's parents have pride and would rather not have any help, but they are the first ones to help out others in their community and the community wants to give back to them now.  We want to set up this gofundme account to ease any burdens of medical costs, lost wages, lessen their stress and any expenses that they may sustain during this, a parents worst nightmare.  These funds will help greatly towards high out of pocket  insurance deductibles that have met the max already this year, and will be met at the beginning of next year and the next. Kelli, Alexis's mom has also been battling MS for the past several years with high cost treatments.   Life is a gift and can change in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, our niece  has had to grow up real fast these past few weeks and has learned that she does not want to take anything for granted. This beautiful, intelligent, active, funny young lady shouldn't be dealing with the fight of her life. She is applying to colleges  and aspires to be a pediatrician one day. She now is writing college admission essays on  "A challenge that you have encountered in your life and how you got through it"     And she will, miracles do happen.
Please we ask first of you is prayer for Alexis and then if you can a donation to help ease any additional stress for her family. The outpouring of support has been overwhelming thus far but will need to continue as the family fights this battle. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated.
We have Care Calendar in place for meal planning 3 days a week, T-shirt order for support and fundraising along with team Alexis Bracelets 100% of the proceeds go to the family.   Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and for your prayers to our family.  #AlexisStrong22
