We Love You, Alexei Acosta!

Our dear Alex was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of testicular cancer. His prognosis is good (great, actually!) and we're planning on a full recovery. But his life has been thrown upside down and the road is going to get a little rocky for him. He has already had surgery and is in the process of recovery but is now looking at 3 months of daily chemo treatment.  

Alex will be relocating to Seattle for treatment so he can be under the care of his loving parents, but this means that he will be apart from his awesome girlfriend Noelle. He has health care coverage but will probably be hit hard by travel/copays/deductibles/insurance nonsense. Alex will be attempting to work remotely as often as he is able but we are hoping to give him some extra funds to cover the costs of his treatment and lost income. We also want to make sure that Noelle can come visit him from LA as often as possible, and we want to make sure that neither of them has to worry about the cost of these visits. We want Alex to be surrounded by as much love as possible during this time.

Cancer is hard enough, and chemo makes it even worse. We want try to take off as much as possible from Alex's plate to let him focus on his health and recovery.

We know Alex is deeply loved by all of you, and we know you want to help. Distance and logisitics make it hard for each of you to be available to him during this time. Money can't solve all problems, but it does help to ease some burdens. Any amount helps, and if you're particularly strapped for cash, words are often as valuable so please share some verbal support.

Life is strange, and we're all still trying to wrap our heads around this. But we all know that cancer is no match for Alex's bright spirit. Let's all try to help him shine a little brighter during this time.
