Alex is a 29 year old Iraq Veteran, Author, and Animal Enthusiast. He is going to be fathering his first child who is due in October of 2015 with his wife Amanda.
Alex has been diagnosed with Colon Cancer, and it took the VA nearly 5 months to figure out why he had been bedridden with so much pain. After 2 procedures, the doctor found a mass in his colon that is malignant.
During the 5 months of excruciating pain, Alex has lost over 30 pounds, alot of strength, and the ability to do normal activities such as taking his dogs out for a walk. Most of the time the only way he can cope with the pain is bed rest, but because of his condition he is unable to work and cannot support his pregnant wife.
