Alexander Shelton Goes To Morocco

Dear Community,

Last year with the help  of community, like you, I was afforded the opportunity to travel to Dubai to attend theYouth Time Global Youth Summit  on The Future of  Ethical Entrepreneurship. Alongside my co-founder, we pitched our creative placemaking eco retail project called The Green Store. Hundreds of Young Social Entrepreneurs from around the world applied, 100 were invited to Dubai and 13 projects were selected to be presented on this global stage. The Green Store pitch came in First Place in the Environmental Category and Second Place overall. The experience and global connections made were invaluable! We left Dubai with so many gifts. One gift from our Second Place winnings was a free international internship anywhere in the world through AIESEC .

AIESEC is the world's largest non-profit youth-run organization. It is an international non-governmental not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development, cross-cultural global internships, and volunteer exchange experiences across the globe.

I have been accepted into a 6 week Eco Journalism project in Marrakech, Morocco. There, I will be learning and writing about the sustainability goals in different sectors of Marrakech's infrastructure and the quality of life of the people in Marrakech. I will also be blogging about eco tourism, living sustainability abroad and recording social observations of people and cultures during my travels throughout Africa. I have never been to Africa and this opportunity will be both life affirming and life changing.

During my time in Africa, I will be releasing digital yoga classes, offering private online classes,  accepting clients for spiritual & lifestyle coaching and selling eco-products to supplement my income abroad. I am calling on your support because though the opportunity to live and work in Morocco is free, I will still require help with travel, food and sustaining while abroad.
