Alexander Knox Needs Help To Get Going

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

My name is Carlos Lemus , president of CTD Development Services Inc (CTDDS). I reach out to you  today requesting your assistance sponsoring Alexander Knox and the two causes closest to his heart. To meet this goal Alex needs to raise $7,500 by Tuesday, December 3, the official end of this campaign.  With your generous gift you buy Alex the most precious resource of all - Time.  How Alex spends these next two months is in our hands. Here are our choices.

Choice 1: Let Alex spend this precious time working a retail job with no purpose, just to pay his bills, until it's time for him to depart to Europe. Choice 2: We can help Alex cover his basic housing, meals, and travel expenses so that he can spend this valuable time doing something we all know is more worthwhile. That is, be a source of inspiration for hundreds of young people looking for someone to look up to, and training his heart out, every day, so that he doesn't let those young people down - not here, not in Europe. When I say training his heart out, this is what I mean. Please click the image below to view The Sounds of Training.

I don't think you need to read further to know what the right choice is, but if you do, please read on. This is the story of what drives this impressive young man to do the above every day.

Mission 1: Play for a 1st Division European Professional Soccer Team

Alex's first goal is to fulfill his childhood dream - to make it to the big leagues in soccer on soccer's biggest stage, Europe.  He has been invited to a once in a lifetime opportunity to pursue his dream, and is on the cusp of living it. He leaves this January to spend time and train with several teams interested in him.

The teams and individuals that are considering Alex are world class. To make the right impression on them, Alex has made the greatest sacrifice of all. He has put the rest of his life on hold, including his studies at UCLA and the scholarship that was paying for his stay in Los Angeles. He did this to train harder than he ever has, and ensure he doesn't fail.

But there is more than training in his regimen. To stay ready, he is playing with the LA10 FC, a team in the UPSL (United Premier Soccer League), a professional development team just one level below the MLS (Major League Soccer). So far, he's played three games and scored a goal in each game. The proof is in the pudding. The video below shows Alex being interviewed, by one of the owners of LA10 FC. Take note of the delight on the owner's face. Based on that alone, I'd say Mr. Knox is doing pretty good. Would you agree?

Mission 2: Create Awareness of the Live Your Dream Inspiration Tour and the Wisdom Hour Program

About the Wisdom Hour

In pursuit of his dream, Alex attended a boarding school for elite American soccer players, located in the Arizona desert.  At each school Alex observed many of his peers afflicted by feelings of loneliness, home-sickness and failure. Due to these experiences Alex often dreamt of creating a personal development program to connect young people with mentors that could help them get through difficult moments.

This past July Alex took a another step towards making this dream a reality. With the support of CTDDS he piloted the Wisdom Hour Program with five high school soccer players he mentored this summer. This personal development youth program allows adults in mentoring roles to use a combination of inspirational YouTube celebrity videos and interactive discussions with distinguished guest speakers that have faced and overcome tough life situations. The outcomes were terrific, proving much progress can be made in a little time, and more can be made if extended further.

The video below is of one of the guest speakers Alex invited to talk with his mentees. His name is Erik Holt, an MLS professional soccer player on the Real Salt Lake FC. In this clip Erik discusses the importance of being true to oneself by maintaining a high level of intensity on and off the soccer field.

About the Live Your Dream Inspiration Tour

Alex would like to employ CTDDS's services to help him finish editing the videos and build the curriculum that would enable any adult in a mentoring role to use it with middle and high school youth going through difficult times. To fund that work Alex is dedicating his last two months in California to creating awareness about the program, and the need for it. His target are schools in the Los Angeles area. He is conducting this promotion through his Live Your Dream Inspiration Tour, where he intends to visit as many middle and high schools as possible to inspire young minds, and give the schools a small taste of what the Wisdom Hour program could do for their students.

Below is a picture of Alex with a group of students at Monroe Middle School in Inglewood, CA. This is the first of many schools Alex intends to visit in the next two months.

Alex and I are a two man team who occasionally get some help from volunteers and some of our partners. Making this work happen, even the tour visits take time.  Your donations buy the time Alex needs so that he doesn't need to worry about rent. Please support Alex with the amount you can afford to provide as soon as possible.  I invite you to learn more about what he's been up to since he decided to be an ambassador for CTD Development Services Inc at our website, www.weconnectsdots.org, and our YouTube channel.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.
