On Saturday, June 9th, 2018, Retired Disabled Veteran Howard Alexander and his wife Chun lost everything they own in a disastrous house fire. They lost EVERYTHING they own in this fire yesterday except for literally the clothes that were on their backs. 40 years of memories, irreplaceable family heirlooms, both cars... truly everything materially tangible in their lives. The important thing is that they're both alive with only minor injuries and a broken ankle and are now safely staying at our house as we help them rebuild their lives.
THANK YOU to everyone who came to our house and for everyone who couldn't come that sent loving and prayer filled thoughts and donations and everyone who didn't know about it but will read this and send prayers and positive thoughts.
I love the quote that says "You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them." We're so humbled to know that we're so genuinely loved and blessed. To me, friends are family too so thank you all...thank you, thank you, thank you.
We've had a lot of love and support come in from family and friends asking how to help so this GoFundMe is set up to help buy them clothes, necessities, medical supplies and other things we take for granted. No donation is necessary but prayers are definitely appreciated!
