Alex Wallace Recovery Campaign
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
I on behalf of Alex, her grandparents Billy and Roni, her mother Patricia, her sister Nora and the rest of her family are reaching out for your support. On the night of February 19th, Alex tragically fell from a 6th story hotel bedroom balcony while on vacation with her friends in Miami. She sustained a number of injuries upon taking the fall including multiple compound fractures in her right leg, fractures in both her right and left wrists and forearms, a broken bone in her neck as well a punctured lung. Thankfully, her head was unaffected by the fall and the doctors can also now confidently say that she was not paralyzed. So far she has successfully completed two surgeries on her right leg and the doctors believe she will be able start physical therapy on it in the coming weeks. She can currently move her fingers and toes with a little bit of pain which is great progress from the condition that she was in on Friday night and Saturday morning. Her mood has improved dramatically since the accident and she is very optimistic despite everything that has happened which is true testament to her upbeat and positive attitude.
Like most of us, health insurance will cover some of the costs but the journey to her recovery will be long and expensive. We are asking for the support of you, all of her friends and anyone whose life that might have been touched by Alex to help with the financial burden that her family will have to take on in the coming weeks and months. Donations of all sizes will be greatly appreciated and all proceeds will go towards helping her family pay for the operations she has undergone, future operations she might need as well as future physical therapy and other medical needs. We understand that the pandemic has created troubling times for everybody so if you are unable to donate we kindly ask you to simply keep her in your thoughts and prayers and please share this link with your friends and family or anybody else who might know Alex in any way.
If you would like to reach out to Alex to support her or send her well wishes, we have set up an email at [email redacted] which will likely be the best way to get in touch with her within the next week, nurses will come in periodically and read the messages to her. It currently causes her a lot of pain to do anything on her phone so if you send her a text it will likely be a week or two before she is able to see it or respond but she has promised that she will get back to you all eventually. Please help us show Alex the appreciation she needs to get through this very difficult time and thank you in advance for your well wishes and donations.
