Alex Swartout was a brother and uncle to many, and a trusted friend to many more. He was always the first person to offer help if someone needed it. He greeted you with his crooked smile, and when he laughed, the world laughed with him.
But he didn't like to be helped. He never wanted to be a burden to anyone. So he didn't reach out when his world got too dark and heavy to bear. Alex took his own life on June 26th, 2019.
He didn't have life insurance, so we are raising funds to offset his final expenses. Any remaining funds will be donated in Alex's name to a suicide prevention organization.
We will have a celebration of life for Alex, we are looking at July 20th, plans to be finalized. There will be a page on Facebook as well with details.
