Alex Salazar

Alex is an 8 year old full of life, love, and faith.  He is a top scholar in school, a very strong willed warrior, and very caring to his friends, family, and community.  He has a passion for baseball just like his grandpa, dad, and brother.  Just like any other child, Alex enjoys reading, playing outside with his brothers and close teammates, and gardening.  Shortly after winning a championship in McAllen, Texas, he was diagnosed with AML Leukemia and airlifted to Methodist Children's Hospital. In just a split second, his life has changed drastically.  Not only is Alex undergoing Chemotherapy, he will also need a Bone Marrow Transplant.  His treatment road map will require him to stay in the hospital for Chemotherapy a month at a time, with only a few days break in between.  Shortly after his Chemotherapy is complete he will need to undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant.  This road map will be more difficult than the first rounds of Chemotherapy, but Alex is a strong warrior and will not give up.  Losing is not an option has become our motto.  With this being said, we humbly ask for prayers as we under go this journey at his side and donations to pay for his medical expenses and transplant.  We would also like to reach out to everyone who can to please register at Beamatch.com as we search for a Bone Marrow Donor in the upcoming weeks.  From the bottom of our hearts we'd like to thank you in advance for your time, prayers, and donations.
