Alex Rivera needs our help!

Alejandro (Alex) Rivera is a kind, bright 21-year old, who was hit by a car on Sept 16, 2018, while walking home from work. He has been working 2 jobs while earning a college degree, although he had to defer this semester because he did not have enough money for books and school expenses. Most of his earnings had gone towards supporting his father (bedridden from an accident), and his mother (unable to work due to lupus nephritis), and his 2 younger brothers.   

He is currently in a medically-induced coma at a hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. He has extensive injuries including a broken skull, facial trauma, broken ribs, collapsed lungs, shattered pelvis and a broken leg. He suffered multiple cardiac arrests in the first 24 hours and doctors who are caring for him say it is a medical miracle he is still with us.

Alex is not out of the woods yet, and best-case scenario, he will have a long and complicated road to recovery.  We have known Alex since he was 17, and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about Alex and his family. Please help them in their time of need. We have great hope that Alex will still have a  bright future as a productive member of society.  He and his brothers have spent much of their free time on mission trips to help those less fortunate, even during times they had so little themselves. 







Since Alex was a primary contributor to the income of his family, and the true cost and length of his long-term care will undoubtedly be significant,  whatever you are able to contribute towards his recovery is deeply appreciated.
