Alex suffered cardiac arrest at home on Friday 3/20/18. I called 911 immediately and started CPR for 9 minutes that it took paramedics to get here. Busy bike week slowed them down. They had to intubate him to get him to breathe and defibrillated him before they got him stable enough to get to the ER at Halifax Daytona Beach. He was sent to CVICU, a special 3 suite ultra ICU Ehich basically has one on one patient care, therapudic hydrotherapy where his body was cooled down to 91degrees to try to save his brain. That worked pretty well and he is very slowly coming out of his coma. We’re already getting bills ranging in the $6-7K range and he will miss work for at least 2 months. I will miss a lot as well to care for him.
