Alex' dream of hearing

When you look at this little curly boy, a nice smile comes to your face. He is so cute and nice, has so much positive energy in him that you will never guess how much he suffered and continues to suffer. Little Alex, who is now 3 years old, is completely deaf with anomaly in both inner ears therefore never heard his Mom’s voice, enjoying his Mom’s lullabies when he was put to bed. As he never learned how to speak he cannot communicate neither with his family nor with other children when he plays in the park with them. He is not dancing when there is nice music. He is not understood and accepted in society.
All children at the age of 3 like talking so much. Let's help Alex to become one of them and be able «to bother» his Mom and Dad with 5,000 questions per day.
When the young parents of this curly cute boy got the horrible diagnosis of Alex being deaf they were shocked and started to look for support for their “bundle of joy” to get access to hearing.
My Armenian friend and I decided to support Alex's family to afford a Cochlear Implantation (CI) which would enable Alex to enter the world of hearing.
Unfortunately Alex has to travel to Pamplona, Spain and only the CI treatment will cost around 23,000 (twenty three thousand) EURO which is astronomically high for the family who is hardly making both ends meet. As Alex has bilateral anomaly of the ear , the treatment is possible in Pamplona, Spain only, where surgeons are experienced in such a treatment and can help him to hear the world of sounds. We have good news as well, because we have already raised 9000 (nine thousand) EURO so we are asking for your support in raising another 14000 (fourteen thousand) EURO.only
Alex lives with his parents, sister and grandparents in Yerevan, Armenia. Both parents work and do their best to maintain the family. It is hard for the family to communicate with the child because he does not hear and hardly integrates into the society. Alex isolates from his peers more and more during the time because he is not understood and without hearing integration in the society is almost impossible.
Aristotle said “Hearing has the most significant contribution to intelligence and knowledge”.
We hope that you will not stay indifferent and will also help Alex to hear. Each cent donated for him matters changing his world and take him to the world of sounds. He will be prevented from being separated from his family, his peers as well as society and will be able to go to a kindergarten and later on to a mainstream school, giving him the opportunity to be fully integrated into society.
As this is now the most important dream the family has, let’s help and become a part of a success story by giving hearing to another child who badly needs that.
