Alex Brickers Medical Fund

Our friend Alex Bricker is 24 years old and has lived in Barrie since he was 10. He was transferred for a job opportunity in Hawaii. He has been there since April.

Alex was in a tragic accident while in Hawaii. Alex was driving home from work and got in an accident on his scooter. He went over the guard rail and fell down a cliff leaving him with life threatening injuries. The cliff was made of lava rock which is very sharp leaving him with massive cuts on his arms and an extreme loss of blood.He has close to 100 staples/stitches, torn tendons, multiple broken bones including his tail bone, pelvis and femur. Alex has had multiple surgeries and is lucky to be alive.

He has spent the last three weeks in the hospitals in Hawaii where he is receiving great care but the medical coverage isn't covering all of his expenses.

We are reaching out to his friends and family to help cover just a portion of the medical bills and the many bills to come. Alex will be unable to work for the next number of months as he learns to walk again. He will need a lot of support from everyone. Alex is planning to return home to Ontario as soon as the doctors clear him to fly.

For all the people who know Alex, will know that he is full of energy and it takes a lot for him to get knocked down but this accident has been a painful endurance test.
