Alem Ghebru Desta, a wife, mother of 5 and grandmother of 3, who migrated from Eritrea (a small country in East Africa) lost her life after battling cancer. Mama Alem was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 years ago and in time the cancer spread to her lungs and eventually shutting down most of her organs.
She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, an aunt, a friend. She was a kind and hard working woman. She touched our lives and has now left us with memories but they are memories we can hold forever. Our family has been very grateful for everyones words of kindness and everyones support through all this, for all of countless prayers.
However now we ask for financial support so we can give Mama Alem the funeral she deserves. Every penny counts. God knows our hearts and will be glad that those who can help his child will be rewarded greatly. Our family thanks you in advance for everything that you have done for us.
