Alda Cook Campbell lives in Manzanillo, Costa Rica, a small beach town on the south Caribbean coast. Alda learned about herbal medicine from her mother and grandmother and is an expert guide to local plants in the Caribe Sur.
Costa Rica is incredibly biodiverse. Growing up in a relatively remote area means acquiring knowledge of every day plants to address common complaints and wellness needs of families and friends.
"Alda's Remedies - Abuela Medicine from The Caribe Sur of Costa Rica" is dedicated to her grandmother Miss Edith Campbell and was written to help preserve healing traditions and herb lore in the Caribe Sur. Alda is a great story teller, fantastic cook of local cuisine and good friend to many people.
