Aldan's Brain Tumor Treatment

Joey Hasinger, my workmate and friend, just found out that his son Aldan, who is two and a half years old, has a tumor in his brain that requires surgery. Aldan had been having seizures over the past few months and what was originally diagnosed as epilepsy was changed when imaging detected the tumor in early October 2014.  It’s large so it may require multiple surgeries and possibly chemo, but his doctors are very positive. His surgery is currently scheduled for mid October, with about a week in the hospital for recovery. 

Joey's friends and coworkers have all been wanting to help his family during this difficult time.  With health insurance deductables and co-pays being in the neighborhood of several thousand dollars per year, and with the extra time and expenses such a surgery can incur, in addition to the other support we are trying to provide, such as meal deliveries to the hospital and care packages, we wanted to be able to raise funds to help defer the other costs and to allow the family of 4 to spend all of their energy and focus on Aldan's recovery.
