Alberto Garcia Jr. (Betito)

Donation protected
On Wednesday, May 2nd, Alberto and Abigail Garcia noticed their seven-year-old son, Alberto Garcia Jr. (Betito) was walking funny. They took him to the doctor who immediately sent them to the hospital where he was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor in his spine. The prognosis is grave and the doctors have not given Betito much time (weeks) to fight the tumor. Chemotherapy is not an option, but they are hoping to begin (or have already begun) radiation treatments to prolong Betito’s life as long as possible.

We have known Alberto and his family for a long time. He and Abigail have six children and as long as we have known Alberto, he has always been a family man; continually doing his best to support his children and wife. For years he sustained two jobs: He worked nights at the Livermore Valley Tennis Club and worked during the days with deHaro Construction. He was able to move from those jobs to work full time at Barnett Plumbing and has worked there for the past ten years. In all that time, through the long difficult days and sleepless nights, Alberto has a permanent smile on his face and continues to make time for his children and Abigail.

We are heartbroken that Alberto and his family have to face such a difficult tragedy and would like to help in any way possible. In order to give the Garcia family comfort and lesson some of their burden, we are hoping to raise money that will enable them to spend as much time with Betito as possible. These funds would help cover travel expenses, medical bills, food and any other unexpected debts. We hope to ease a portion of the financial burdens that will undoubtedly bring extra anxiety during a time when the family’s attention should be on spending time with Betito, and with each other.

Please donate any amount that you are able and know that it will go to a deserving family in their greatest time of need. In the meantime, we keep the Garcia family in our thoughts and our prayers.

Thank you,
