I'm Kelsey, I'm Alayna's sister. I've created this page today to help Alayna with emotional support and financial support.
As many of you know Alayna was brought to Northside Forsyth Hospital on Oct 17 after she was found unconscious in her room. The doctors immediately set to figuring out what her ailments were. At this time she is in critical condition with a failing liver, low blood pressure, rapid heart beat, and intubated on a breathing machine with fluid in her lungs. The doctors are stumped as to what could be causing this in her body. She could possibly need a liver transplant but at this time the doctors said her body isn't strong enough to handle that surgery. Right now she isn't getting better, she's plateaued and they are monitoring everything the best they can as they run tests.
I started this gofundme for Alayna so that people can stay updated on her condition, share there support for her emotionally, and if you chose so, donate funds. The money raised here today will be used to cover her hospital bills and any costs that would be associated with the possbile liver transplant.
Alayna is still so young, 26 years old. Shes an art major at Georgia State University and finishing up her last semester before graduating. She's the music director for GSUs college radio station WRAS (Album 88). Alayna has been active in track and cross country through high school, she also rowed and was coxswain for the regatta team at GSU. She loves music, Food Network, Guy Fieri, and Seinfeld, she's such a funny and sarcastic, amazing, strong woman who needs all of your support. We appreciate all of you that have reached out to us over the past few days. It means more than anything to us right now.
